WWE talent is reportedly excited, given the regime change and the subsequent change(s) to the product.
The August 1 episode of WWE RAW was widely seen as the beginning of the new era, and many fans hoped it would live up to the hype. RAW wound up generating a lot of buzz as it showcased fresh matchups and featured plenty of wrestling, among other differences.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that there were plenty of good feelings surrounding the show. He noted that even people who weren’t on RAW were excited, as talent across the company’s brands have expressed positivity with Triple H leading creative. Ross Sapp named one NXT talent who noted that Dakota Kai’s return so soon after Triple H’s promotion was a “great sign” and gave them hope for their own future. Other talent noted that they were encouraged by the prospect of having less rematches.
Other sources were happy to see Ciampa and Mustafa Ali put in spots where they could shine, while a “top wrestler outside of WWE” pointed out the clear focus on the women’s division.
Ross Sapp also reported that, after speaking with numerous talent, no one has expressed specific concerns about Vince McMahon’s exit from creative. and Triple H has gotten credit for integrating some of McMahon’s final projects, like the Maximum Male Models.
