The reign of “The All Mighty” continues.
At WWE SummerSlam, Bobby Lashley defended the WWE United States Championship against Theory, the man he won the title from at WWE Money in the Bank. Theory, who won the Money in the Bank contract later the same night, was determined to regain the gold on Sunday, but in the end, he was no match for Lashley.
Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:
Theory attacks Lashley with his briefcase during his entrance. Theory temporarily gains the advantage, but Lashley overpowers him. “All Day” rolls out of the ring and seemingly tries to leave. Lashley stops him and dodges the briefcase when Theory throws it at him. Theory dodges a Spear, but he only prolongs the inevitable, as Lashley makes him tap out to the Hurt Lock.
