The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching while you’re at home and they come recommended by your favorite professional wrestling stars.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Laredo Kid, who picked some of his matches in the X Division as some highlights from his IMPACT Wrestling run so far. Laredo Kid also said that he’s eyeing a showdown with two X Division staples in Alex Shelley or Chris Sabin.
“I think when I have a match with the guys in the X-Division, I think that represents my style [well]. With people Mike Bailey, with Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, with all these guys, I think that people love to see these kinds of matches. But in particular, I want a match with Alex Shelley or Chris Sabin because I don’t have a match with these guys, but I saw these guys when I started in this business, and then it’s something cool to be there with these great wrestlers in the locker room and see that maybe one day I have that shot to have a match with those guys.”
Sabin and Shelley recently fought each other for a shot at the IMPACT World Championship, and Laredo Kid said he’d be willing to fight outside of the X Division to make either one of those matches happen.
“Yeah, of course. Because it’s like one of my dream matches, and I really want to do one of these matches. But if I have another shot, I take it. You know, if one day I have the opportunity for the X-Division belt, I take it. If I have the opportunity to have a match with someone like Chris Sabin, I’ll take it.”
