Killer Kelly is with IMPACT Wrestling for the foreseeable future.
Killer Kelly signed a new multi-year deal with IMPACT Wrestling, confirming the news on the Battleground podcast.
Shortly after her return to IMPACT was announced on July 7, Kelly revealed that she was actually under contract with the company since November 2020. The pandemic and stepping away to address her mental health and injuries contributed to her absence, but she now says she re-signed a new agreement to extend her tenure in the company.
“It’s surreal. I’m so hungry for competition and IMPACT has the best women’s division. Competition is not missing at all, I’m so excited,” Kelly shared. “There were lots of ups and downs and I was basically locked in my country, so like prison. [laughs] It wasn’t fun at all but I finally made it out and I just had to wait until I could finally debut on IMPACT and that happened.”
Kelly went on to say that Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is at the top of her list of opponents but noted that there’s plenty of the roster that she hasn’t worked with. She also said that signing the new contract with IMPACT was a “no-brainer” and reiterated that she was hungry for competition.
“I was famished for wrestling. I had a little taste, the taste before, and it made me want more and more. The fact that I was back in Portugal and couldn’t wrestle, I basically haven’t — since my last IMPACT appearance [in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament in 2020], I have only had a couple of matches. Just a couple. I’m hungry.”
Terms of the new deal were not revealed. Killer Kelly’s return has been promoted with pretaped vignettes on recent weeks of IMPACT Wrestling TV; she is set to make her first in-ring appearance on the July 28 show.
