Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal clashed tonight at ROH Death Before Dishonor with the ROH World TV Championship on the line, but it was Joe who would walk out victorious.
The giant superstar showed no mercy in his match against Jay Lethal, coming away with a win thanks to some late heroics and pure athleticism. Towards the end of the match, Joe caught Lethal in the Coquina Clutch, only for Lethal to slip out of it and try to trap Joe in a submission of his own.
However, Joe was able to roll back and out of that, countering into the Coquina Clutch in the process and forcing Lethal to have to tap out.

Lethal stomps Joe in the corner and hits the Lethal Combination for two, then Joe goes for a Muscle Buster and regains control in the corner. He goes for another Muscle Buster but Lethal counters, then Lethal hits the Lethal Injection again for a two count. Joe comes back with a judo throw but Sonjay Dutt runs out and distracts him, and Lethal hits Joe with the title and makes the cover. Joe somehow kicks out and Lethal can’t believe it, but he sets up another Lethal Injection and Joe catches him in the Coquina Clutch. Lethal escapes and goes for a submission, but Joe rolls back into the Coquina Clutch and puts Lethal out.
