Bianca Belair will defend the WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
Before Belair’s scheduled title defense on the July 18 episode of WWE RAW, Becky Lynch came to the ring and announced that, like the little engine that could, she persevered and earned a shot at the gold. She called herself the “Big Time Becks Express” and vowed to go full speed ahead until she had the championship back in her hands. “The EST” interrupted and told her rival that this isn’t Lynch’s comeback story, it’s her own. She recalled how Lynch took the title from her at SummerSlam last year, and she has worked hard to regain her spot at the top of the mountain.

Belair’s opponent for the night, Carmella, interrupted and reminded Belair that she beat her via countout the previous week, proving that she has brains and beauty. When tensions rose, Lynch and Carmella ganged up to attack the champion.
Still, the match was on. Belair had to keep fighting, and she dealt with Lynch’s interference at ringside all the while. In the end, “The EST” defeated Carmella to retain the title. After the match, Lynch took the title and dropped it at Belair’s feet to send her a message.
