Valerie Loureda On Representing Latinas In WWE: I Was Born To Do That

Valerie Loureda proudly lives her Latina culture.

Loureda recently signed with WWE, and will soon report to the WWE Performance Center. There, she will undergo training from the respective coaches. Through her prior training, Loureda will have to adapt to a new style of learning and performance. However, she embraces the challenge. In speaking on Notsam Wrestling, Valerie appears confident heading into her Orlando move to the Performance Center. In fact, she believes she’s poised to be on television by the conclusion of 2022.

“I’m crazy. In my brain I have secrets of what I want to do, but I trust. I’m just gonna go into the gym and be teachable and learn as much as I can, absorb from these coaches that are incredible and my goal is to be on tv by the end of the year. Hopefully main roster as soon as they think I’m ready but knowing my work ethic, if I put my mind to it, I’m going to do it.”

In addition, Loureda noted the importance of representing her Latina culture in this new venture.

“I have my background and did do a lot for Bellator and I did change the whole stereotype engineering for women and Mixed Martial Arts. But also, other than that, I’m representing Latinas in the WWE–which we are a minority. For me, becoming the first Cuban-American woman to sign, is like history is being made. It’s a big win for Latino, and especially in Miami, so I think that more than anything is most important to me–knowing that I’m about to do something. Also, having the confidence that I could represent. If there’s anybody that can represent our culture, it’s me and I feel like I was born to do that.”
