WrestleZone has learned more details about Parker Boudreaux‘s surprise appearance at MLW Battle Riot on Thursday night.
Parker Boudreaux, aka former NXT 2.0 star Harland, entered the Battle Riot match, which came as a surprise to many who thought he would not be working for MLW. Several weeks ago, MLW’s Court Bauer responded to a fan who said Boudreaux would be a great fit for the company by saying that they shouldn’t expect the former NXT star to work there.
MLW officials were said to be very happy with Boudreaux’s appearance and the response to him as the surprise final entrant in the Battle Riot match. WrestleZone was unable to confirm if Boudreaux will continue to appear beyond the Battle Riot appearance, which will air on MLW Fusion in the near future.
One other notable name that was scheduled for the Battle Riot match was Ace Romero, who ultimately did not compete in the bout or work the taping at all. Romero had traveled to New York City for the event, but had to go home for an undisclosed family emergency. It was communicated to WrestleZone that the situation was understood by MLW, and the two sides remain on good terms.
