Cody Rhodes has posted a brief, albeit noteworthy, update on his road to recovery.
“The American Nightmare” tore his pectoral tendon ahead of WWE Hell in a Cell On June 5. He still competed in his scheduled match with Seth “Freakin” Rollins and emerged victorious. Even after the injury, Rhodes teased his interest in entering the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but he hasn’t been seen since Rollins attacked him on the June 6 episode of WWE RAW. A few days later, Rhodes had surgery, and WWE announced that he’s expected to miss nine months.
Rhodes took to Instagram to say that the nine-month timeframe is “their plan”, but he has his own.
“I’ve heard 9 months, that’s their plan… I’ve never concerned myself with other peoples [sic] projections – I’ve got a plan of my own – let’s finish, all of us,” Rhodes wrote.
