The Miz has learned a lot from John Cena, both as a wrestler and as an entertainer.
The two stars have clashed several times over the years in WWE; most notably, they feuded in 2011 and headlined WrestleMania 27 in a WWE Championship Match. Over a decade later, Cena is gearing up for the 20-year anniversary of his WWE debut, while The Miz remains featured on WWE RAW. “The A-Lister”, like Cena, has carved out a successful career outside of wrestling, as he is the star of Miz & Mrs., among other projects.
During an appearance on In The Kliq, when asked about Cena, The Miz recalled how working with the megastar taught him how to be a main-eventer in WWE, and he’s thankful for the experience.
“It was a teachable moment for me,” said The Miz. “It showed me what it takes to be a main event caliber superstar, and I’m very thankful for those moments. Because it allowed me to have the confidence I have today in my abilities.”
“The Most Must-See Superstar” went on to describe how Cena has shared plenty of advice with him, as he’s always willing to pass his knowledge onto those who are willing to listen.
“Cena’s a wealth of knowledge and he’s more than willing to hand it out if you’re willing to listen,” said Cena. “And he would always teach me different things in the ring that I need to do, how to listen, how to hear, what to do, when to do it. I could go on and on and on, but Cena has taught me a lot in the WWE and entertainment.”
