The Judgment Day competed in its first match as a complete collective at WWE Hell in a Cell.
For weeks, Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley have been feuding with AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan. “The Rated-R Superstar” defeated Styles at WrestleMania 38 thanks to the interference of Priest. In a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash, Ripley aligned with the duo and helped Edge win the bout. Styles subsequently joined forces with Balor and eventually Morgan, Ripley’s former tag team partner, to even the odds.
Early on in the bout, Morgan and Ripley took the fight to each other. Edge avoided getting involved by letting Priest face off against Styles and Balor. The WWE Hall of Famer eventually tagged in and took control. Later in the match, “The Prince” rallied and dropped Priest with a kick. Styles and Edge tagged in, and “The Phenomenal One” gained the upper hand with a flurry of offense. Styles blasted Priest with a knee and hit Edge with the Phenomenal Forearm, but Priest pulled him out of the ring. Morgan tagged in and got a two count with a hurricanrana. She got another two count on Ripley with a crucifix driver.
Ripley dumped her on her head with a suplex and planted her with a suplex. Styles, Morgan, and Balor dove onto their opponents at ringside. “The Phenomenal One” dropped Priest with the Phenomenal Forearm, and Balor countered a Spear into a roll-up. He went for a Cou de Grace, but Ripley distracted him. Edge capitalized and dropped Balor with a Spear for the win.
