Tony Khan has announced another change to a major match for the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Initially, AEW announced that The Hardys would team up with Jurassic Express and Christian Cage to face the Undisputed Elite on Wednesday. Jeff Hardy and Adam Cole were subsequently removed from the bout, so it became an eight-man tag.
In a tweet on May 31, Khan announced that Cole and Hardy are injured, so he asked them to pick their replacement partners. Their selections, Darby Allin and Hikuleo, have been added to the bout.
With @AdamColePro & @JEFFHARDYBRAND out injured this week after #AEWDoN I’ve asked Adam & Jeff to pick replacement partners for #AEWDynamite’s LA debut tomorrow!

Hardy fought alongside Allin as part of their feud with the Andrade Family Office, and he defeated the former TNT Champion to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. Meanwhile, Hikuleo is a member of Bullet Club; Cole is seemingly on good terms with the stable, as he brought Jay White to AEW, and “The Switchblade” helped him beat Tomohiro Ishii.
It’s currently unclear how long Hardy and Cole will be out of action.
The updated card is as follows:
- Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Christian Cage, Darby Allin, and Matt Hardy vs. The Young Bucks, reDRagon, and Hikuleo
- Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia
WrestleZone will have full coverage of the show as it airs on Wednesday.
