The man once known as NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne hopes to compete at WWE Clash at the Castle, WWE’s upcoming stadium show in Cardiff, Wales.
Dunne moved up to WWE SmackDown earlier this year under the name Butch, and he has been a featured member of the brand ever since. Given his presence on the blue brand, it’s fair to imagine that Butch competing at the company’s first major event in the United Kingdom in over 30 years is a possibility.
In an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro.co.uk, Butch made it clear that he’d like to be involved, and he referenced how he has history with he wrestling scene in Cardiff.
“Obviously, I would love to be involved and I’d love to have a great moment on there,” said Butch.
The SmackDown star went on to note that he’d like to WWE have other NXT UK standouts compete at the show. He also stated that facing Andrews, someone he has faced many times in the past, would be a “full circle” moment for him.
“What I would like to see is people like Mark Andrews, Eddie Dennis, Wild Boar, Morgan Webster – any of those that could be involved would be incredible,” said Butch. That would be the most full circle moment you could ever imagine. We’ve managed to do it almost at every level throughout our careers, and that would be almost the peak you could get to, I believe.”
