MLW has crowned its inaugural Women’s Featherweight Champion.
On May 13, at the Kings of Colosseum taping, which was held at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA, Taya Valkyrie faced Holidead in a match for the title.
According to reports from the arena, Valkyrie defeated Holidead to win the gold. Specific details are currently unclear, but the victory makes Valkyrie a double champion; she currently holds the the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
MLW announced the launch of the women’s featherweight division in September 2021. After several months of showcasing the talent at MLW Fusion tapings, the company announced the match to determine the inaugural title in April.
