Roman Reigns On The Bloodline’s Six-Man Bout At WWE WrestleMania Backlash: What If That Was The Last One?

Roman Reigns took a moment to reflect on the remarkable main event bout of WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

Alongside The Usos, Reigns defeated RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in a hard-fought six-man tag team bout at the premium live event on May 8. The match came the day after Reigns cut a controversial promo at a live event, where he hinted that he might be entering a new chapter of his career.

In a video he posted on his Instagram page, “The Tribal Chief” discussed the significance of Sunday’s main event by wondering whether it’d be the last time The Bloodline would team up in a six-man contest. He also noted that anybody, from John Cena to The Rock, could have been in the match, and the result would have been the same.

“You probably thinking like, ‘Ah that match, that six-man main event tag match, good god,'” said Reigns. “It was just filled with future Hall of Famers. Just filled with future Hall of Famers, we’ll hold up, we had Riddle in there too. You know what I’m saying, he’s gonna learn. But what’d you think was gonna happen? Let me tell you this, alright. When it comes to The Bloodline, when it counts, you can count on us. I don’t care who’s in there. You can put Randy Orton with anybody. You can put Drew McIntyre with anybody. Put John Cena in there, throw The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, anybody, anybody, and The Bloodline’s gonna smash them every single time.

“What if that’s the last six-man tag you ever see The Bloodline do? I believe when it comes to TV and it being broadcast for the entire world to see, that’s only the second one. Y’all are freaking out right now. Don’t worry, ‘The Tribal Chief’ loves you. I’m not going anywhere unless I am. Anyway, who knows? But what if that’s the last one? Because I mean look at it, there’s so much riding on us. We have all the titles, we’re the very best in the world. I’m the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, I’m the greatest of all time. The Usos, the longest-reigning tag team champions in the history of WWE, the greatest of their generation, of the entirety of the business, it goes without being said that everything supports it. But what if that’s the last time you see us do what nobody can do?”

Reigns went on to describe how The Island of Relevancy isn’t a gimmick, as The Bloodline always elevates everyone around them. He stated that if the match at WrestleMania Backlash was the last six-man contest for The Bloodline, they already know that people will miss them because they’re the best.

“That’s The Island of Relevancy right there,” said Reigns. “It’s not a gimmick. This isn’t just something we’re putting on shirts and selling. No, this is as real as it gets. Because anybody that sits at the table, anybody that tries to step up, anybody that’s near us, they automatically become better. You’ve been seeing this. Whether you like it or not, you love it. And we already know you respect it because you acknowledge it everywhere we go. Think about that. If that’s the last one, we already know you’re gonna miss us because we’re the greatest to ever do it, and it’s because we’re The Bloodline and we the ones.”
