Scorpio Sky will defend the TNT Championship on the May 13 episode of AEW Rampage.
On the May 6 episode, Sky came to the ring alongside Dan Lambert and Ethan Page. Lambert insulted the city of Baltimore, while Paige made it clear that the mixed tag team bout against Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti was off. Frankie Kazarian interrupted and, after he insulted Page by comparing him to Guevara, he asked Sky for the TNT Championship bout he was promised. Sky, Kazarian’s former SCU tag team partner, previously told the veteran that he’d get the first shot at the gold in exchange for letting him challenge then-champion Guevara for the title.
Page reminded Kazarian that SCU was “dead”, but the champion told his former partner that he’d be a fighting champion, so he’d get his shot next week.

Sky and Kazarian were the first AEW World Tag Team Champions in the country’s history. Since SCU broke up, Sky has become a successful singles wrestler. He won the TNT Championship, dropped it to Guevara and won it back on the April 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Elsewhere on next week’s show, Riho will face Ruby Soho in a first-round bout in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. The former AEW Women’s World Champion qualified for the bracket on the May 6 episode of Rampage.

- TNT Championship: Scorpio Sky (c) vs. Frankie Kazarian
- Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Quarterfinal: Riho vs. Ruby Soho
