Another wrestler has qualified for the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.
On the April 8 episode of AEW Rampage, Red Velvet faced independent wrestling darling Willow Nightingale in a qualifying match. The women put on a competitive match as Nightingale got to showcase her talents against the AEW stalwart, but it was Red Velvet who advanced.
Throughout the contest, Willow showcased her strength and speed against RV as she had the Boston crowd behind her. Willow missed a moonsault, and RV hit a drop toe-hold. RV caught Willow a Just Desserts for a very near fall. Nightingale rallied and dropped Velvet with a big spinebuster for a near fall of her own. The crowd popped for a pounce by Willow, who then nailed a cannonball in the corner. But in the end, RV rocked Willow with her corkscrew kick and picked up the victory.

With the win, Velvet joins Hikaru Shida, Jamie Hayter, and Toni Storm in the bracket.
