“Legit” Leyla Hirsch suffered an apparent knee injury during the April 6 taping of an upcoming episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
Ahead of Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Hirsch was in a match against Christine Marie where she landed awkwardly after a backflip and had trouble getting up. The match was immediately stopped, and Hirsch was helped to the back by various medical personnel on hand, according to those in attendance.
As of this writing, no information on the injury has been shared by either Hirsh or All Elite Wrestling. Updates should be made in the near future. Hirsch has been featured as a singles competitor in the women’s division throughout 2022, and she has been feuding with Kris Statlander and Red Velvet in recent weeks.
On behalf of WrestleZone, our thoughts are with Hirsch, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
