Kevin Owens is on a level that he couldn’t imagine.
During an appearance on The MackMania podcast, Kevin Owens spoke about his match with Steve Austin and tried to highlight just how special the moment is to him.
“I don’t really know how to put it into words, honestly. I just feel so great that I’m able to give Steve his greatest moment of all time,” Owens said. “So it is very special.”
Asked about working with Austin, Goldberg and Shane McMahon, Owens said that he doesn’t have a problem with them, but rather they
“I don’t think I have a problem with The Attitude Era, it seems like they have a problem with me, honestly. I definitely never asked to be in the ring with Goldberg or Shane McMahon. So they came for me. It worked out, kind of, in some cases. But I mean it’s great to be in the ring with those guys. It’s like a whole different level of things I would have never imagined. Like the Goldberg one especially is really wild. Because when I was a fan, I hated WCW, hated it. And I thought Goldberg was, because I didn’t watch WCW, so I didn’t really know much about him except he’s bald, he wears black trunks, he’s a Stone Cold rip-off, and I think he sucks, which is ironic concerning where we are today.
“But that was like, as surreal as it is for this weekend, that was just as surreal because if years before that, somebody would have told me, ‘well Goldberg’s eventually gonna to beat you for your title because of Chris Jericho,’ my head would have probably popped off but that’s exactly what happened. So it’s all been surreal. Honestly, I started with John Cena. It’s all been unreal.”
