Paul Heyman says Roman Reigns still has plenty left on the table once he beats Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
During an appearance on “The MMA Hour” with Ariel Helwani, Paul Heyman spoke about what happens if Reigns wins at WrestleMania on Sunday, noting that it’s not the end of the road for “The Head Of The Table.”
“One, I don’t deal in ifs, I deal in absolutes, and Roman Reigns is going to win this Sunday, and that’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler. Two, I think there’s some people that are really ready to step up. I’m not gonna name them because it’s up to them to step up and they’re not gonna get the benefit of me endorsement if they don’t know that it’s time for them to step up. There are still some very big-money matches for Roman Reigns. Is this the biggest one on the table at the moment? Of course it is, it’s the main event of WrestleMania, the biggest WrestleMania match of all time, winner take all, title versus title unification match. Are there other people that are ready to step up into the spotlight and give Roman Reigns a fight? Absolutely,” Heyman stated. “Are they destined to make an impact this Sunday at WrestleMania? They better, if they wanna be next in line to challenge Roman Reigns.”
Heyman then spoke about Brock’s new persona in WWE, which he says came at the right time, just like Roman Reigns became the “Tribal Chief” at an opportune moment.
“He didn’t need to, it wasn’t time yet. It’s the same reason why you didn’t see the Tribal Chief in 2012. You had to see the bad ass, the Samoan had ass of the shield, you had to see the big dog, and you keep on elevating and enhancing and upgrading until finally, Roman Reigns was ready to reveal the Tribal Chief. This is part of Brock Lesnar’s personality. Brock Lesnar is not a one-dimensional human being. He’s barely a human being at all, he’s a beast,” Heyman said. “This is what he’s like on his farm, this is what he’s like when he’s hunting. This is off-season Brock, and he brought off-season Brock to fight season this time around because he was gonna have to show a different side of his personality since I was attached to the hip of Roman Reigns.”
Heyman recently confirmed he recently re-signed with WWE; read more about his future with the company and why it was a very easy decision at this link.
