Hot off the heels of the two-night Crockett Cup event, the National Wrestling Alliance delivered an eventful episode of NWA Powerrr.
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona appeared, and both Homicide and The Hex defended their respective titles.
The results are as follows:
- In an interview, Matt Cardona celebrates his victory over Nick Aldis at Crockett Cup; he states that he didn’t tap out on Sunday; instead, he was trying to prompt the fans to chant for him. Either way, Cardona made it clear that like it or not, he’s the top guy in NWA now.
- Jeff Jarrett, the special guest referee of Cardona’s title bout, reluctantly says that his decision to disqualify Aldis on Sunday night was an erroneous one. He admits that he made a bad call in the heat of the moment.
- The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) def. The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)
- Despite their loss in the Crockett Cup, the NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelion (Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf) boldly declare that they are ready for The Briscoes, who won the tournament on Sunday.
- Trevor Murdoch def. a local talent and showcases some newfound aggression. After the bout, he vows to destroy everyone, and the blood will be on the NWA’s hands/
- In an interview, Nick Aldis and Mickie James say they’re not finished with Cardona yet.
- Austin Idol teased making a big announcement. Tyus throws down a gauntlet by saying anyone who manages to bodyslam him will earn a shot at his World TV Championship.
- NWA Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle) (c) def. Paola Blaze & Jennacide (with Taryn Terrell)
- NWA National Champion Jax Dane says that the former champion, Anthony Mayweather belongs in the past.
- In an interview, NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille and Thom Latimer confirm the rumors Strictly Business is finished. Latimer and Kamille both explain that the group is done because they only need each other, and they collectively intend to take the NWA by storm.
