Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik made a surprise appearance on the March 15 episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
It may not be “time to make a change” for father and son, but the Mysterios did interrupt Santos Escobar following his victory against Cameron Grimes to qualify for the NXT North American Title ladder match. Legado del Fantasma was stating that Santos was the greatest luchador to ever compete in WWE, and Rey took issue with this bold claim. He fired back by saying that the honor will belong to his son Dominik.
Escobar was frustrated by Rey’s interruption, and the showdown set the stage for a match between Raul Mendoza and Dominik. The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion warned the legend that he made a mistake by getting involved with his business.

Once it was time for the bout, Dominik ultimately picked up the victory after Briggs, Jensen, and Fallon Henley came to ringside restore order. They neutralized the presence of LDF, who had been interfering in the match. Rey ended up getting involved by punching Escobar in the face before Dominik hit a 619 and a Guerrero frog splash for the victory.
