The finals of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are set after WWE NXT Roadblock.
In the first semi-final bout, Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez aced the major target of Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo, and it ended up being a “Roadblock” for the duo. Jade and Gonzalez ended up losing to Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai, who subsequently advanced to the finals of the women’s tag tournament. During the bout, Toxic Attraction came out to assault Gonzalez’s leg in order to stack the deck against Jade and the former NXT Women’s Champion. Jade fought in the majority match, but Gonzalez, despite her injured leg, rallied late in the match. In the end, Kai and Choo got on the same page to hit a double team top rope combo for the 1-2-3.

In the second semi-finals match, Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro took on the pairing of Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray. This bout was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. “This is awesome” chants filled the Capitol Wrestling Center as both Carter and Ray fought to their feet. The finish nearly came when Kacy and Kayden did a super poisonrana to Ray, but Shirai broke up the pin. The former women’s champions then turned the tide, as both Ray and Shirai hit their finishers on Catanzaro for the win.
