Brock Lesnar was a Paul Heyman guy, and it sounds like he’s also a Monica from Friends guy.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar recently appeared on 98.7 ESPN New York’s Michael Kay Show and was asked about what he does in his downtime to have fun. Lesnar said that he’s not a huge fan of television, but does still enjoy some classic sitcoms and admitted he’s a fan of Courteney Cox’s character, Monica Gellar, from the hit TV show Friends.
“I’m not a huge TV guy, I never have been. Honestly, I haven’t. I tuned into the Super Bowl, didn’t catch the halftime show but I did go back and watch it on YouTube. I don’t watch the UFC. Even when I was competing, I’d go back and watch some of my film but I’d never watch the other stuff. I can honestly say maybe I’ve only ordered, probably a half-dozen [UFC] pay-per-views,” Lesnar admitted.
“[I’ve watched] Seinfeld, I catch a little bit of Friends every once in a while,” Lesnar said, before being asked who his favorite character was. “Is it Monica? Yeah, her.”
Brock was then asked to describe a “normal” Saturday night in the Lesnar home, and he said he’s a big fan of any genre of music that gets the toes tappin’.
“I’m a music guy, I sit in my bar, in my trophy room with all of the animals I’ve acquired over the years. Light a fire, I get a big fire going, and we just jam to music,” Lesnar said. “All genres, anything that gets my toe tappin’ and my shoulders rocking.”
Lesnar is set to face Roman Reigns during the main event of WrestleMania 38 night two in a winner-take-all championship unification match for the WWE and Universal titles.
