Gail Kim says Christy Hemme is back in the fold with IMPACT Wrestling.
Kim joined Busted Open Radio on Tuesday and spoke about her transition to a backstage role in IMPACT Wrestling. Gail was speaking about how talent is respective of treating her as an agent versus still seeing her as talent, then spoke about how Alisha Edwards is learning some of the backstage aspects as well.
Kim then shared that Christy Hemme was working with the company again in a backstage role and talked about how it’s good to see women getting more roles in a field that is still seen as a “boys’ club” in some circles.
“And now we have Christy Hemme back, I don’t know if people know that. She’s backstage and working on a lot of things now, helping with some branding stuff and production stuff. It’s great to have — the more women in the office, the better,” Kim stated. “Madison Rayne, it’s becoming a bit more of a mix as opposed to just a boys’ club.”
Christy Hemme originally worked for (TNA) IMPACT Wrestling between 2006 and 2016 as a manager, ring announcer and interviewer. More recently, Hemme and Kim worked together with Lita on “KAYfABE“, a scripted series that blended true events with pro wrestling. Hemme has also appeared on IMPACT programming since leaving her regular role, as she was a special guest at the 2021 Knockouts Knockdown event.
