Tommaso Ciampa is enjoying the 2.0 era of NXT.
WWE introduced NXT 2.0 in September 2021 and it saw many of the “black and gold” era mainstays phased out, but Tommaso Ciampa has continued to be a fixture on the show. Ciampa posted the following on his Instagram account after he teamed with Bron Breakker and said he’s been having a lot of fun in this current run, then commented about the respective legacies of the Steiner family and his own:
Nothing but respect for the Steiner Brothers legacy. Two of the baddest dudes to ever do this.
I never imagined the day where I’d be wearing an authentic Rick Steiner singlet to the ring, but when the opportunity presented itself the fan inside me couldn’t pass it up.
These last few months in NXT 2.0 have been incredibly fun… thanks in large part to the great energy surrounding the roster, and the insane atmosphere provided by the fans. Pro wrestling… ain’t nothing like it.
Speaking of legacy, I am one week away from becoming a 3x NXT Champion.
Ciampa and Ziggler will challenge Bron Breakker in a triple threat NXT Championship match on the March 8 “Roadblock” edition of NXT 2.0.
