During the break, Trick Williams got his cheap shots in to Grimes, but Grimes proved his tenacity by catching Carmelo with an inside out powerslam. Grimes kipped up to trade shots with the champion. “This is awesome” chants occurred right before Hayes got a very near fall on the challenger. Grimes got close one of his own with a superkick. He continues such a strategy with kick to Carmelo. Williams gets involved on the apron and inadvertantly gets hit by Hayes. This leads to a false finish for Grimes after leaping off the top with a cross body.
Trick Williams sacrifices himself on the outside when Cameron nails a double stomp to the hype man. Back in the ring, Hayes locks in a crossface to Cameron, but Cameron rolls him over for a pin attempt. Hayes goes up top and nails a fame asser from up top for the 1-2-3.
