Mustafa Ali still remains unshy about leaning into his frustations with WWE. Ali took to social media to seemingly make light of his lack of television time in recent months by simpling Tweeting “I’ll see ya all in like 2 1/2 years.”

Before Royal Rumble took place Ali was very open about his desire to leave WWE, writing out a request to be released from the company, stating, ““I have a message that is much bigger than my dreams in pro wrestling. Despite my best efforts, I will not be able to deliver this message while working with WWE. Therefore, I am requesting my release from WWE.” Ali has not been on WWE television since November of 2021 and has not competed since October 29. Reports surfaced from Fightful that a big catalyst for Ali’s request may have stemmed from a heated argument with Vince McMahon regarding Ali pushing back at a creative direction.
