The Creed Brothers could be the next big tag team in NXT 2.0, as the young Diamond Mine duo advanced in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic against The Grizzled Young Veterans.
The brothers sure showed their prowess against Grizzled Young Vets, but the latter used underhanded tactics to gain the advantage. Brutus Creed became the major target as they catapulted him underneath the ring apron. It took a while before his brother Julius got the hot tag and he epitomized that turn as he got the Capitol Wrestling Center on his side with stretch mufflers, suplexes and slams.
The fight spilled to the outside and GYV took out Julius with a tope combo. They then hit a Doomsday Device for a near fall. Brutus got the tag and hit Gibson with some strikes before he took out Drake. In the end, Julius used his brother’s back to superplex Drake, and a low lariat put Gibson down for the 1-2-3.

Later in the night, MSK faced Malik Blade and Edris Enofe in another hard-fought semi-final contest. However, the veteran savvy came into play as MSK ended up getting the rock-solid win to advance to the finals. They’ll look to make repeat history against Julius and Brutus, as Nash Carter and Wes Lee won the Dusty Cup last year.
