IMPACT Wrestling Results (2/3/22)

Tonight on IMPACT Wrestling, an unlikely foursome is formed as Ace Austin and Madman Fulton align with Jake Something and “Speedball” Mike Bailey to face The Bullet Club. Plus, Jordynne Grace defends her Digital Media Championship against the originator of Internet Titles, Matt Cardona.

MATCH 1
IMPACT Digital Media Championship
Matt Cardona vs. Jordynne Grace (c)

Cardona and Grace shake hands before locking up. They reset and Matt takes Grace down with a shoulder tackle. Matt feels guilty and offers another hand, but this time, Grace doesn’t take it.  Side headlock by Grace and she leaps over for a roll-up. Kick out and the two fighters continue. Grace hits a running back elbow and does a spinning wheelbarrow facebuster for a two count. Both miss their respective attacks, but it’s Cardona who catches Grace with a suplex in the corner. Cardona continues to feel guilty, but suplexes her again. Leg drop and then slams her in the corner before Irish whipping her into the opposite corner. Matt continues to second guess his actions as he bodyslams her.

Matt misses some ground elbow drops and then catches her with a clothesline. Matt doesn’t make the pin. Grace avoids a missile dropkick. She nails a spinebuster. Grace and Cardona are both back on their feet. Grace kicks Matt in the hammy and hits a low missile dropkick to the knee. She corners him for a running meteora and then a cannonball. Then a running Vader bomb. She covers: 1-2-kick out.

Grace hits some clubbing blows to Matt, but a boot from Cardona downs her. Matt hesitates before connecting with a Reboot. He covers: 1-2-no!

Matt charges at Grace but she moves and he goes to the outside. Matt is enamored with the belt. He goes to bring the belt in the ring, but the ref pulls it in the ring. Suddenly, Matt pops Grace with a chair. He shrugs and slides back in the ring to hit Radio Silence. 1-2-3, new Champion!

WINNER and NEW Digital Media Champion: Matt Cardona

Backstage, we see Morrissey hunting down Brian Myers. He takes out VSK and Zicky Dice before running for Myers. He gets blocked by security and we go to break.

Back from it, Scott D’Amore reveals to Morrissey that he’ll be facing Myers next week in a No DQ match.

MATCH 2
JONAH vs. Crazzy Steve (with Rosemary & Black Taurus)

Steve uses his scrappiness to battle JONAH and bites the big man on the forehead. Soon, JONAH bumps him down. He hits a running senton and then his Psunami splash for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: JONAH

Post-match, JONAH scales the ropes to do another splash, but Black Taurus stands in the way. That causes JONAH to exit.

Backstage, Gia Miller tries to catch up with Matt Cardona to get word about his actions. She asks him what Chelsea is going to think about his tainted Championship win. He said why don’t you ask Jonathan Gresham what it’s like to be married to a loser.

After break, IInspiration has a present for Kaleb With A K. Madison Rayne watches him open it and it’s a new phone with an IInspiration wallpaper. Madison tells him to change it.

MATCH 3
Steve Maclin vs. Jonathan Gresham

Ian Riccaboni joins Hannifan and Rehwoldt on commentary. Cary Silkin is also ringside. Bell sounds and Gresham shows off his athleticism. He hits a dropkick. Maclin manages to gain control briefly but it’s Jon who grounds him with a head hold. Maclin locks him with a head scissors on the mat. Gresham rolls himself free and then gets a side headlock in. Gresham continues to keep that control and it’s a lot of mat work. Maclin uses the ropes to take Gresham off and we go to break.

Maclin gains offensive control of the match even though Gresham shows his resiliency. Maclin has Gresham tangled in the ropes and continues to assault him through the five count. The ref  calls for the bell.

WINNER: Jonathan Gresham

Maclin corner spears Gresham and then locks Gresham in a Boston Crab. Suddenly, Honor No More comes out and takes Maclin out. Gresham doesn’t seem to be pleased with their interference. Josh Alexander walks out for his match as he and Gresham exchange looks.

MATCH 4
Josh Alexander vs. Vincent

Alexander starts off on the offensive. A little distraction from HNM gives Vincent the chance to slam Alexander off the ring post and to the outside. He gets Alexander back in the ring for a two count. Belly to back to Alexander. This fight continues to go back and forth until Alexander locks in an ankle lock. HNM continue to hop up on the apron and Vincent rolls him up for a two count. Team IMPACT comes out. Soon, Alexander does get the ankle lock on and gets the submission win.

WINNER: Josh Alexander

Post-match, Kenny King comes out and attacks Alexander as Team IMPACT chase him off. It looks like Kenny is aligned with Honor No More.

We see Morrissey kick down a hotel room door and he attacks Moose who is inside.

Back from break Kenny King confirms he’s in Honor No More.

MATCH 5
Jonathan Skyler vs. Bhupinder Gujjar

Side headlock from Skyler and then a shoulder tackle. Gujjar hits an axe kick to send Skyler for a powder. Skyler gets back in the ring and gets some offense in but a powerslam sends Bhupinder on a flurry of offense. Gujjar does a springboard elbow for a two count. Gujjar hits a sharp dropkick and then leaps off the second rope with a spear and that’s good for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: Bhupinder Gujjar

Post-match, Raj Singh comes out to applaud Bhupinder. The latter leaves the ring.

We see highlights from Mickie James’ Royal Rumble appearance. Mickie catches up with Gia Miller backstage in the IMPACT Zone, but is interrupted by Tasha Steelz who rubs it. She says Mickie will lose to her at No Surrender and acts like Mickie giving a “loser’s speech.”  Enter Chelsea Green and it looks like we got a tag match brewing with her and Mickie against Savannah Evans and Steelz. Mickie tells Chelsea she’d love to wrestle her. Next week, maybe?

We see another vignette for Gisele Shaw.

MATCH 6
Masha Slamovich vs. Kaci Lennox

Masha hits Lennox with a rolling heel kick before colliding with Lennox in an adjacent corner.  It’s not long before she hits a Russian Death Device for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: Masha Slamovich

Deonna Purrazzo is backstage with Gia Miller. Purrazzo goes over her accolades despite not being the current Knockouts Champion.  Next week, Deonna issues an open challenge to either one of her titles.

MAIN EVENT
Mike Bailey, Jake Something, Ace Austin & Madman Fulton vs. The Bullet Club

Bailey starts off hot against Bey but he soon gets isolated with attacks from White, Tonga & Loa. Bailey does tag in Something, but Fulton tags himself in. Bullet Club clears the ring, but Fulton catches a leaping Bey to the outside and slams him on the apron. We go to break.

Back from it, Austin suplexes Bey before Madman hangman chokes Chris in the corner. He covers for a two count. Ace Austin battles with Bey and the pace picks up even more with Speedball and Jay White. Bailey hits some rapid fire kicks to White and nails an amazing spinning senton to White. White fires back with a uranage. Two count. White goes for a One and Only but Speedball rolls through. Bailey goes to tag Something, but Ace tags himself in. Tama Tonga battles with Austin. He knocks Something and Bailey off the apron as Fulton dukes it out with GOD. Magic Killer to Fulton. They take out Austin with a neckbreaker and it’s Speedball who makes the save. GOD twist reverse DDTs Bailey. Bey climbs up top and goes for a frog splash. Austin gets his knees up. Something reaches for a tag and Ace feins a reach but moves his hand. Something catches him with a tag and powerbombs Bey and downs everyone in the Bullet Club. The numbers game becomes too much for Something. Bey hits an Art of Finesse for the the 1-2-3 after BC hold him up for Bey.

WINNER: Bullet Club
