Big E is officially back on WWE SmackDown.
The former WWE Champion appeared on the blue brand for the second consecutive week on the January 28 episode of WWE SmackDown; he teamed up with New Day stablemate Kofi Kingston to defeat Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss on Friday night. Multiple times during the show, WWE made it clear that “The Powerhouse of Positivity” had returned to the blue brand.

Big E hasn’t competed on WWE RAW since January 10, when he lost to Seth Rollins, but he has remained active at non-televised events.
In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Big E has been moved over to SmackDown, in terms of WWE’s internal roster. In doing so, he’ll reunite with both Kingston and King Woods. He had been a member of the blue brand before he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in September. After he won the title, Big E jumped over to WWE RAW and regularly competed there. He ultimately lost the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1 on January 1.
As of this writing, no storyline explanation has been given for Big E’s return to SmackDown.
WresteZone will provide more details as they become available.
