WWE RAW viewership decreased on January 17, but the key demographic rating increased.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 1.613 million viewers watched the show on Monday, and the program drew a 0.43 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The total viewership is down from last week, when 1.632 million viewers tuned in. In the same demographic, RAW drew a 0.39 rating (507,000) viewers on January 10.
Thurston noted that RAW faced stiff competition in the form of an NFL playoff game on Monday night, but viewership for WWE’s flagship show wasn’t substantially affected.
The Monday Night Football wildcard game between the Rams and Cardinals did 23 million viewers across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2.
The notion that Raw would get killed against the first ever MNF playoff game didn't come to fruition. Raw was even in total viewers, up in the demo.
