Peter Avalon is now accepting indie dates.
The AEW original shared the news in a tweet on January 17. The post doesn’t offer any clarification on his status with AEW, which has been uncertain in recent weeks after Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select previously reported that Avalon’s contract was set to expire.
The statement is as follows:

As noted in the tweet, Avalon worked alongside The Wingmen. Initially, he was AEW’s Librarian alongside Leva Bates. In recent months, Avalon has worked some dates for UWN, among other independent promotions. Avalon competed at the AEW Dark taping on January 15, and this bout marked his first contest in an AEW ring since December 3, per Cagematch.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
