Johnny Knoxville is going to WWE Royal Rumble, and if he wins the legendary battle royal, he’ll be going to WrestleMania, too.
On the January 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, the “Jackass” star was confronted by Sami Zayn, who shared his belief that Knoxville wasn’t qualified for the Royal Rumble match whatsoever. But when the self-proclaimed locker room leader told Knoxville that he should do something to prove himself, that’s exactly what he did.
After Rick Boggs pinned Zayn in a singles match, Knoxville snuck into the ring and “eliminated” Zayn by sending him over the rope and onto the floor, just like a participant would in a Roya Rumble match. The ring announcer then declared that Knoxville had officially qualified for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
WOAHH!!!! Johnny Knoxville just sent @SamiZayn over the top rope on #SmackDown AND officially qualified for the 2022 #RoyalRumble Match! pic.twitter.com/rEt1EM5DG2

Knoxville previously publicly stated his intention to enter the Royal Rumble match, but he hadn’t been named as a qualified entrant until Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
