The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will return in 2022, but this year’s tournament will be the first under the WWE NXT 2.0 banner.
The return of the annual tournament was announced at NXT New Year’s Evil, and both the men and women of NXT 2.0 will be in competition to crown some new winners. MSK won the men’s tournament in 2021, and the duo of Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai emerged victorious in the inaugural women’s competition.
During NXT New Year’s Evil, the broadcast team confirmed that the men’s tournament will begin in two weeks, while the women’s tournament will start sometime in February.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
