Chris Jericho is back.
The former AEW World Champion returned on the December 29 episode of AEW Dynamite. He was a little late to save his Inner Circle stablemates Santana and Ortiz after 2point0 and Daniel Garcia attacked the duo. The latter stole a win over Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston in a six-man bout and proceeded to beat them down. 2point0 and Garcia used the ring bell to inflict punishment on Jericho’s teammates before “Le Champion” made the delayed rescue.
HOLY S**T @IAmJericho is back!!!
It’s #AEWDynamite: #NewYearsSmash LIVE on @tntdrama!

After he cleared the ring of 2point0 and their “son,” Santana and Ortiz had to separate Jericho and Kingston when they argued. Jericho has been absent for several weeks since 2point0 attacked him on the December 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. During his time away, he went on tour with his band, Fozzy and spent some time in a hospital with a non-COVID issue.
