WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a tweet on December 29, Roberts, 66, shared the news and noted that he hasn’t been doing his work as a manager in AEW for nearly three months. He acknowledged that he’s high risk, du to his COPD, and he credited AEW President Tony Khan for his efforts to keep everyone safe. Roberts also expressed his belief that he got infected from his family or from a shopping trip.
I’ve waited so long. Actually thought I was bulletproof. Yes I’ve gotten Covid-19!!!!!

Yes after not going to do my AEW work for nearly 3 months. Tony Kahn knows I’m high risk and has gone above and beyond all expectations trying to keep everyone safe. Pretty sure I got it from family or when I was out shopping.

As he stated, Roberts hasn’t been on TV recently. He manages Lance Archer, who is recovering from a neck injury he suffered in November. At that time, Roberts had recently returned after he missed some time with his own recovery from surgery.
Last week, Roberts and DDP announced that they’ll be launching a podcast together.
