It’s been a while since Best Friends were all together again, but thanks to a recent podcast, the trio was reunited. The topic of Trent’s mom, Sue, and her van came up, and it turns out that it’s not actually Sue’s van.
(Take a moment and compose yourself…)
The Best Friends (Trent, Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy) were guests on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker to discuss All Elite Wrestling and their recent issues with Adam Cole and the Young Bucks. When asked about how they try to make their group stand out with the wide array of tag teams currently on the roster, Chuck Taylor jokes that they do a good job exploiting Trent’s mom Sue. Taylor then shared a shocking revelation about Sue’s van with the audience.
“We get Sue out there and just really just put her through the wringer,” Chuck Taylor said before being asked by Walker if it was actually Sue’s van. “No, but one of our production guys, Bird, does own the van now. They bought, I think, like a really sh-tty, like secondhand van and then beat the hell out of it, and then Bird restored it. And when we were in Jacksonville for like seven and a half years or whatever during the pandemic, he would drive around.”
Trent (and Sue, and the van) finally returned to AEW television on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, as the trio arrived in time to save Best Friends from a beatdown by Cole and the Bucks. Trent had been out of action since an April 21 Dynamite loss to Penta El Zero Miedo, and had neck fusion surgery in June.
In another exchange, Trent also explained what was keeping him out of the ring and how he’d been dealing with a case of sleep apnea prior to neck surgery. You can read more about his recovery at this link.
