Jeff Hardy was reportedly sent home following a WWE Live Event in Edinburg, Texas, on December 4.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider first reported the news and noted that Hardy appeared increasingly “sluggish” at Saturday’s show when he competed alongside King Woods and Drew McIntyre in a six-man tag team bout against The Bloodline. After Hardy tagged out, he reportedly left the arena through the crowd, with security following him.
Johnson then wrote that Rey Mysterio replaced Jeff Hardy at the December 5 show in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Hardy was absent from the event altogether. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed Johnson’s report.
Jeff Hardy hasn’t competed on WWE TV since the November 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, but he appeared on the December 3 episode; he and McIntyre brawled with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss. WWE subsequently advertised a match between Hardy and Corbin for the December 10 episode.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
