NJPW Best of Super Juniors 28: Night 6 Results (11/27)

Good news for people that love Bone Soldier! Taiji Ishimori got a very important win in the main event of Saturday’s edition of the 28th Best of Super Juniors. After defeating IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion El Desperado earlier in the tournament, Ishimori submitted Desperado’s eternal rival Hiromu Takahashi. The win gives Ishimori a win over both of last year’s finalists, who had promised to meet each other again in this year’s finals.

El Desperado is currently nipping at Hiromu Takahashi’s heels. His win over IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion Robbie Eagles tied Desperado with Hiromu, just a few nights after their blistering Time Limit Draw.

Current block leader SHO continued his winning ways, choking out sentimental favorite DOUKI. SHO’s former-tag partner YOH is finally breaking out of his losing streak, getting his second win over young upstart Master Wato in a phenomenal showcase for both men.

Elsewhere on the show, BUSHI continued ELP’s slump, and Ryusuke Taguchi put a crack in Yoshinobu Kanemaru’s record with a sneaky rollup. The Young Lions continue to wrestle in 10-min blocks.
