WWE Survior Series Kickoff featured a clash of champions, as WWE United States Champion Damian Priest faced WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The two men waged war for brand supremacy, and they threw everything they had at each other. In the end, infuriated by the distracting guitar-playing of Rick Boogs, “The Archer of Infamy” snapped. He broke the guitar over his knee and hit both Boogs and Nakamura with the instrument. As a result, Priest was disqualified, so Nakamura won the bout to give SmackDown a win in the first match of the show.
