Becky Lynch loves that people are interested in her match with Charlotte Flair, but she still knows that there’s some uncertainty with how the match will actually go.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Becky Lynch was asked about her personal issues with Flair. Lynch said that her relationship with Flair might be fractured, and she’s not sure what kind of chemistry they’ll have when they meet in the ring on Sunday.
“I also like money, Ariel, and so this is money. And people are interested and I love that people are interested and I love that people don’t know how this is gonna go. I don’t know how this is gonna go. I don’t know if this is going to be just an all-out brawl. I don’t know if this is going to be just venom behind every move. I don’t know if we’re even to be able to get to the match. I don’t know if there’s going to be a fight backstage, I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I don’t know. I don’t know. And I think that’s exciting for me and the audience,” Lynch explained, “probably nerve-wracking for the office.”
Asked if she had thoughts that the feud could take away from the match itself or the match might not be good because of that tension, Becky Lynch said it’s definitely a concern, but it’s still going to be a spectacle no matter what.
“Of course there is. We kind of saw that a little bit with Charlotte and Nia [Jax], at one stage, is that when people don’t work together, it can go badly. It’s not good. You’re watching for the wrong reasons. And that could happen. Like I said, that’s the thing. That’s also what’s very exciting about this. You don’t know what’s gonna happen. It’ll either be, one way or another, it’ll be can’t-miss.”
Lynch also said “yes” when asked if Charlotte was difficult to work with, repeating her answer when Helwani asked if she hoped this was finished after the pay-per-view. WWE Survivor Series airs on Sunday, November 21 on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network worldwide.
