Ross and Marshall Von Erich will challenge for the MLW World Tag Team Championship at the promotion’s “Blood & Thunder” taping in Dallas, Texas, on January 21, 2022.
The Von Erichs announced the news during an appearance on 96.7 The Ticket sports radio. The Von Erichs have a long history with the state of Texas, so it’s fair to expect the fans in attendance to rally around the duo when they face the champions. Los Parks currently hold the titles; they defended the titles against Slice Boogie and Danny Rivera MLW’s War Chamber tapings, but that match hasn’t aired yet. (Spoilers are available here.)
Previously, the Von Erichs won the titles on November 2, 2019 and lost them to Los Parks at the MLW Fusion tapings on January 13, where special guest referee Tom Lawlor cost them the bout against Los Parks.
