Thanks to an unexpected twist of fate, Austin Theory has earned a place on Team RAW for WWE Survivor Series.
For the second week in a row, Bobby Lashley removed a Mysterio from the team; he brutally beat Dominik last week, and he did the same thing to Rey on the November 15 episode of WWE RAW.
Lashley made relatively short work of Rey and picked up a decisive victory. Once he picked up the win with the dangerous, WWE official Adam Pearce came out and promptly announced that it was his job to protect the well-being of both Team RAW and Rey.
With that in mind, Pearce said, Mysterio would be removed from Team RAW, both for the team’s well-being as well as his own. A replacement was said to be named later, but as Dominik Mysterio looked on in disbelief, Austin Theory snuck up behind him and laid him out with the ATL.
As Theory celebrated, Pearce re-emerged from the locker room and said that he liked Theory’s style. As a result, he named Theory as Rey’s on the men’s team for RAW at WWE Survivor Series.
In the blink of an eye, @reymysterio is OFF of #TeamRaw at #SurvivorSeries, and replacing him … is @austintheory1?!#WWERaw @ScrapDaddyAP pic.twitter.com/0WG8sj20eV
