The Undertaker is in need of a knee replacement, but he’s waiting for the right time to go under the knife again.
The Undertaker was a guest on The Norm and D Invasion show on Sports Radio 96.7 The Ticket in Dallas to promote Wednesday’s WWE WrestleMania On-Sale Ticket Party at AT&T Stadium. During the broadcast, Undertaker was asked if doctors recommended he replace his hips, knees or shoulders first after all of the wear and tear from his career. Undertaker said he needs a new right knee and he’ll be having surgery on it in the near future.
“So, I have — both of my hips are partial hip replacements already. I need a right knee and I have surgeries lined up, I just gotta wait until hunting season’s over.
Undertaker then said he does miss the live element of performing in front of fans, but he knew it was finally time to hang it up after his Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36 against AJ Styles.
“I miss performing in front of our live audiences, especially around WrestleMania time. It’s just, it’s the game. I was very blessed to have a very long career where I was active for so many years but the body can only take so much and deliver so much. And for me that time [came] — I realized at WrestleMania, the last WrestleMania that I did that my time had come.”
