Harry Smith has been released by WWE today as confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. Smith re-signed with WWE in 2021 after a ten year absence from the company and never wrestled on WWE programming since his return. Smith, who has also gone by Davey Boy Smith Jr., carved his own path as he became a star in NJPW as well as Major League Wrestling. Smith joins a list of several name stars to be released on November 4 following WWE’s quarterly financial call.
