Petey Williams isn’t the only one who’s reportedly getting a tryout as a WWE producer at the SmackDown taping on October 29.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that James Yun, also known as Jimmy Wang Yang, is backstage at SmackDown on Friday night for a tryout in the same role.
Yun once shined in WCW’s cruiserweight division before the company shut down; he then worked for WWE, first as Akio and later as Jimmy Wang Yang before he eventually left the company in 2010.
Fans also remember Yun’s run as one of the The Flying Elvises in the early days of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. He has worked throughout the wrestling world, with stops in Ring of Honor, Major League Wrestling, and All Japan Pro Wrestling. Recently, Yun has been teaming up with his daughter, Jazzie Yang on the independent scene.
