At tonight’s IMPACT Bound for Glory pay-per-view, Trey Miguel laid claim to the vacant X Division Championship, coming out victorious in a huge Triple Threat Match.
Facing off against Steve Maclin and El Phantasmo, it was Miguel that somehow survived the fray. From the start of the match, it was a brutal back-and-forth affair, with all three superstars going at it. However, in the end it was Miguel who got the upper hand late in the match, as El Phantasmo attempted to deliver a lowblow to Miguel, but found that Miguel was wearing a cup.
Trey then landed a big superkick on Phantasmo, followed by a Buzzsaw Kick before he hit a brainbuster and a top rope double knee smash for the win. This is Trey’s first title win in IMPACT Wrestling; the title was vacated before the match due to Josh Alexander using “Option C” to challenge Christian Cage for the IMPACT World Championship.
