Karrion Kross is in line for yet another character shift, according to a new report.
According to Wrestle Votes, a ‘shift’ in the character for the Monday Night RAW star is to happen in the near future, complete with a brand-new presentation package and entrance theme.
The report goes on to say that Karrion Kross’ highly-debated new entrance gear, complete with a gladiator-style mask is set to stay for now but he’ll be portraying a ‘calm and cool’ but ‘psycho’ character.
“Source states WWE is shifting Karrion Kross’ character once again. Plan is for him to be more of a “psycho” yet still “calm & cool.” As of now the helmet stays, but for whatever reason, still no Scarlett. Presentation of entrance including theme music set to change as well,” WrestleVotes writes.
Karrion Kross last competed on RAW on September 27 when he quickly defeated Jaxson Ryker. Since then, he also defeated Ricochet on Main Event on October 4, and he’s worked with John Morrison on several WWE live events this month.
As far as who came up with his current look, Kross says he’s not entirely sure. Kross recently appeared on the Table Talk podcast and said the mask was pitched as an evolution of his original NXT gimmick and believed it was the result of a creative group pitch but he couldn’t say for sure.
“I’m not entirely sure at this point, because I received a briefing about — I think it was about a creative team conversation. I guess it was a series of people coming up with attempting to expand on the original concept that was presented during NXT. So I guess it was a team of people [that came up with the mask concept],” Kross explained, “but the direction that I think they were attempting to go in was a gladiator.”
