Mance Warner will soon be free and clear of his MLW contract.
According to Bodyslam’s Cassidy Haynes, Mance Warner’s contract with MLW is up at the end of January 2022. It was previously reported by Haynes that Warner asked out of his deal in October 2020, but the request was denied by MLW.
Warner also confirmed he requested his release, telling Wrestling Inc. earlier this year that he made the request, but “that’s kind of where we’re at right now,” adding that “it is what it is.”
Mance Warner is one-half of the GCW Tag Team Champions alongside Matthew Justice. The pair are set to defend their titles against the Briscoe Brothers at GCW: War Ready on October 23. While he’s made regular appearances for GCW and IWA Mid-South, among other promotions in the past year, he hasn’t worked any MLW tapings since appearing in a Tijuana Street Fight on MLW Fusion in March 2020.
Interestingly enough, to add more fuel to the fire, Warner recently tweeted that AEW star MJF is ‘safe until February’, which adds to the report that he would be free of his MLW deal once it runs out in January.
